Orders & Shipping
Most orders ship within 2–4 weeks. During busy periods, this may extend to 4–6 weeks. Once your order ships, you'll automatically receive tracking details.
Tracking is only created once your order physically ships. If you haven't received it yet, your order is still in production. We send tracking automatically as soon as it becomes available.
Orders are split by product type and warehouse location. For example:
- Posts ship separately
- Cable and hardware are bundled together
- Handrails may ship on their own
It's normal for items to arrive on different days.
Missing or Mismatched Parts
First:
- Check all packaging thoroughly
- Look inside larger boxes for smaller components
- Smaller parts like post covers and handrail brackets are often packaged wrapped together in the same bubble wrap
If anything is still missing, send us your order number and a clear list of missing items. A delivery photo also helps us resolve this faster.
Yes. These posts are physically the same. The naming is only used to help you understand placement in your layout. The same applies to angled center posts and angled end posts.
Yes. Send us:
- Order number
- Parts needed
- Quantities and color
We'll provide a quote and arrange shipment.
We track issues like shipping damage, installation mistakes, or incorrect items so we can improve quality and prevent future problems.
Installation — General
Follow the manual. The video shows a more custom install, and while it's still helpful, the manual reflects our top-selling railing system and the installation process is the same.
Standard spacing is up to 4 feet between posts.
Yes. Even small misalignment can cause:
- Cable tension issues
- Uneven spacing
- Installation difficulty
Always dry-fit and check alignment before drilling.
Yes, small adjustments are normal. Just ensure all posts remain aligned and evenly spaced.
No. Each cable run must be installed as a separate, straight run. Wrapping cable around corner posts prevents proper tensioning and can lead to uneven lines and long-term performance issues.
Tight enough to remove sag, but not over-tightened. It should feel firm with slight flex.
This is usually caused by:
- Posts not aligned
- Tensioning out of sequence
Yes. Proper structural blocking is critical for a secure installation.
- Surface mount: Reinforced blocking is required (commonly triple 2x8 or equivalent)
- Side mount: Solid backing is required (commonly double 2x8 or equivalent)
The key requirement is that the mounting surface must be strong enough to handle tension from the cable system without movement or flex. If your structure differs, consult your contractor or builder to ensure proper support.
This is normal — the post itself is not the full railing height. The final height is achieved once all components are installed together.
| Post | 33.5" |
| Adjustable handrail bracket | 1.5" |
| Handrail | 1" |
| Total installed height | 36" |
| Post | 39.5" |
| Adjustable handrail bracket | 1.5" |
| Handrail | 1" |
| Total installed height | 42" |
The system is designed this way so that once installed, the railing meets the correct final height. If you measure just the post on its own, it will appear shorter, but once assembled, everything aligns properly.
Installation — Drilling & Stainless Steel
Follow these steps carefully — stainless steel is very hard, and improper installation can cause screws to snap or seize. Use a high-torque, variable-speed drill/driver; standard drills often overheat or burn out because stainless requires low speed and steady pressure.
- Drill a pilot hole. Always pre-drill using a high-quality cobalt drill bit (best for stainless steel), at slow speed with steady pressure to avoid overheating.
- Apply anti-seize lubricant. Before inserting the screw, apply a small amount of nickel-based or molybdenum-based anti-seize to the threads. This is critical to prevent galling (metal binding). Do not use grease or WD-40.
- Drive the screw slowly. Use a hand screwdriver or drill on low speed and low torque — high speed increases heat and friction. Set your drill clutch to a low setting.
- Back off if you feel resistance. If you feel resistance or hear grinding, stop immediately, reverse the screw out slowly, reapply anti-seize, and continue slowly.
- Do not over-tighten. Tighten until snug, then stop — over-tightening can deform or break stainless screws.
What happens if you don't follow this process: screws snap, drill bits burn out, and holes become unusable. Taking your time here will save you a lot of frustration.
Handrails
Handrails are designed to run between posts, so each section must be measured and cut to fit your specific layout. Before cutting, always:
- Review your project drawing (this shows exact lengths and layout)
- Dry-fit the pieces to confirm alignment
- Measure twice before cutting to avoid mistakes
All parts are provided based on your approved layout drawing. If you don't have a copy, reach out and we'll send it to you. Taking a few extra minutes to confirm your layout before cutting will ensure a clean, professional finish.
Yes. Use proper tools and secure the material before cutting.
Yes. Options like white oak are available, sanded and ready for finishing.
Customization
Yes. We can modify dimensions for unique installations like overhangs or special layouts.
It can. Any change to mounting position or spacing may impact alignment and final height.
